How to open the AirTag to replace the battery?

Does anyone have any advice for a 77 yr old with arthritis in my hands as to how to get the air tag cover to open when it is almost impossible to rotate because the backing is slippery. Somewhere there must be a video of how to do it?

Tip for opening AirTag when replacing battery I struggled trying to open my AirTag to replace the battery. I watched the video from Apple and tried to do it that exact same way. That did not work. Then I started looking for YouTube videos. I noticed that one guy was putting his fingers in a different position than how the Apple video shows. Basically you put your fingers closer to the outer edge of the silver cap, not the inner part. Also, you don't need to use a lot of pressure and you do turn it counterclockwise. You might want to move your fingers around to find the right spot but I can tell you it took me literally seconds to open it as soon as I tried it. Hope others find this useful. Good luck!

Air tag battery change Like others, I couldn't open the AirTag cover to replace the battery. To rotate it with my fingers, I had to press down too much. That didn't work. So I wrapped sheathing tape around my finger and it provided enough horizontal force to quickly remove the cover. I only applied slight downward pressure.
