Shuffle on Apple Watch

i regularly use my watch to control my phone’s music to play to a speaker without burning my watch battery, and whenever I select a track on my phone, it shuffles that album or playlist since I have shuffle on. When I select a song in the on my iPhone section of watch music, it always defaults shuffle to off but leaves my repeat as I set it. Is there any way to make it default to shuffle on? When I select a song saved to my watch it defaults to shuffle on as expected, it’s just when I select a song on my phone from my watch.
