local storage safari ventura
My local storage folder in the Safari folder in my library is empty since I upgraded to Ventura. Also, there are no Databases stored anymore. I don't mind that they're empty, just wondering why?

Hey, per142.
Have you blocked all cookies or preventing cross-site tracking? This is what usually fills that folder:
All the best.
Hi per142,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To help further and investigate this, we have some questions.
Have you used Safari since updating to Ventura? As you use Safari, information will be stored in this folder.
Are you experiencing any issues with Safari?
Please tell us more and we'll continue.
Take care.
Yes, I use Safari every day. For several hours. And, no, I don't have any issues with Safari. And, actually, I went into my Time Machine and I noticed that the Local Storage folder in my Library has been empty since around Sept. 15. Also, the Databases folder. I seem to remember there was a Safari update around that time, but I am not sure. But, before that date there were lots of stuff in both folders. I used to empty them manually once in a while. That's how I noticed that they are always empty now.
If this is concerning to you, per142, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support: Get Support
Take care.
I am allowing cookies everywhere. Cross-site tracking, however, is prevented, but that is checked by default.
I still see a lot of websites under Manage Website Data, in the Privacy section in Safari Settings.
I did call Apple Support a while ago. Talked to a really nice guy, but he didn't really have an answer.
Anyway, it's not a big concern to me, just curious as to why? Like I said, no issues with Safari at all.
Thanks, anyway.
