iOS 16.1, iPhone 14 Pro Max, audio cutout when switching wifi or cellular towers

I recently upgraded from iPhone XS Max to iPhone 14 Pro Max, currently running iOS 16.1. Since the upgrade, I have noticed audio cutouts and skipping anytime I transition from Wifi to cellular, or from one cellular tower to another while driving. The audio issues have been observed consistently in Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube apps. I've attempted resetting my network settings on the device, but no improvement observed.

Just to confirm, does the phone show low signal or no service when this happens, even if for just a second? Also, does this happen when on phone calls as well?

We recently released iOS 16.1.1. Each update is intended to fix any unexpected behaviors. Let’s update to that and then test the device again to see if the same thing occurs.

I updated to iOS 16.1.1 yesterday, and observed the same thing happening today. During times when this happens, it's about 3-5 seconds after the phone switches from wifi to cellular, or from one cellular band to another (5GUW to 5G, or 5GUW to LTE, or 5G to LTE, and the same is true for the opposite of each of those examples). During times it was observed, the bars never dropped below 2-3 bars, so cellular reception was good, it was just switching between bands. I assume the delay is due to the buffer in the app for the active stream.

My cellular settings are currently Cellular Data: On, Cellular Data Options: Data Roaming: off, Voice & Data: 5G On, Data Mode: Allow More Data on 5G.
