can I connect both to the same app?
(buying just one subscription for both?)

If you're referring to Final Cut Pro, it's a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and can be downloaded on both computers.
If you're referring to a Mac App Store subscription, use the same Apple ID on both computers.
If you're referring to a different subscription, check the service's documentation.
