Can’t read messages
When I open messages on certain contacts on my phone I can’t read the messages: it just shows that is loading. If I do see the messages they disappear. How can I fix this?

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. To start, do you notice this happening on SMS messages (green), iMessages (blue), or both? Also, does this happen on Wi-Fi as well as cellular data?
Here are a few steps that may resolve the issue:
- Close the app and re-open it - Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
- Restart your iPhone - Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
- Update your iPhone (iOS 16.1.1 was just released) - Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
