Duplicate Font Problem

I made a mistake. I received Photoshop art from one of my artists which required a Helvetica font that wasn't installed. He had included the font set so I opened it and it caused conflicts and my computer crashed.

Using Font Book, I see I have 2 HelveticaNeue listings in my "All" list both located in /Users/me/Fonts. None of the names match but I still have conflict triangles. The first group seems like it would be the one installed by the system software

HelveticaNeue (located in /System/Library/Fonts/HelveticaNeue.dfont)
Light
Medium
Regular
UltaLight
Italic
Light Italic
UltraLight Italic
Bold
Bold Italic
Helvetica 37 Thin Condensed
Helvetica 47 Light Condensed
Helvetica 67 Medium Condensed
Helvetica 37 Thin Condensed Oblique
Helvetica 47 Light Condensed Oblique
Helvetica 67 Medium Condensed Oblique
Condensed Black
Condensed Bold

The next HelveticaNeue "folder" has the following fonts, I experimented turning off different ones of these to make the yellow conflict triangles disappear in the folder above:

HelveticaNeue (located: /Users/Me/Library/Fonts/Helvetica Neue SF)
12 pt. Helvetica* 55 Roman 05472
12 pt. Helvetica* 45 Light 02472 (OFF)
12 pt. Helvetica* 65 Medium 06472 (OFF)
18 pt. Helvetica* 25 Ultra Light 79472 (OFF)
12 pt. Helvetica* 46 Light Italic 11472 (OFF)
12 pt. Helvetica* 56 Italic 13472 (OFF)
12 pt. Helvetica* 66 Medium Italic 33472
18 pt. Helvetica* 26 Ultra Light Italic 99472
12 pt. Helvetica* 75 Bold 07472 (OFF)
12 pt. Helvetica* 85 Heavy 08472
12 pt. Helvetica* 95 Black 09472
12 pt. Helvetica* 76 Bold Italic (OFF)
12 pt. Helvetica* 86 Heavy Italic 15472
12 pt. Helvetica* 96 Black Italic 16472
18 pt. Helvetica* 35 Thin 55472
18 pt. Helvetica* 36 Thin Italic 56472

I assume this last batch are the ones I stupidly turned on which caused the conflicts.

9 are still active. Is this OK?
Of the 7 that cause the conflicts, Can I delete them from the font container they are in, or just leave the "Off" ?

Hi

+"9 are still active. Is this OK?"+

If the conflicts are gone and your system is stable and performing as it was before the introduction of these fonts. Yes.

+"Of the 7 that cause the conflicts can I delete them from the font container they are in, or just leave the Off?"+

It's up to you. If it was me I would delete them as there may be a chance of you inadvertently re-activating them. You don't need them anyway and you already know they cause a problem so there's not much point in having them in your system. Is there?

Hope this helps?

Tony
