I have a brand new 2022 appletv 4K Ethernet and watching Disney show, the appletv restarted 3 times. Then an hour later watching YouTube the appletv restarted. Tuned off match frame rate. Turned off match hdr. Still restarting. Have high speed cables. Older 4K appletv box never restarted. Do I have a defective box?

I updated the latest firmware on my Samsung qled. Then I plugged the hdmi cable into hdmi 1. I had it in eArc when it was restarting. I set the settings, video settings to 4K hdr (hdr10+), chroma 4:2:2, match dynamic range on, match frame rate off. Since the firmware update and these settings I have not had one reboot at all. I have the same issue. My Apple TV 4K is connected to a Samsung Qled TV. It started doing a reboot loop even before I could finish setup. Thought I had a defective box and got it replaced. Even the new one has same issues. I was able to use it fine with my LG C2 in bedroom, no issues. So don’t understand if this is some compatibility issue between samsung and apppe. The previous version of Apple TV 4K works fine on my Samsung. Please share if you know any solutions to resolve this
Have switched cables to brand new high speed cables, watching hgtv app and it happened again. Have the hdmi cable connected to eArc input. Switch to a different hdmi port to see if that fixes it. This is frustrating
The eARC port on the TV is supposed to connect to an external audio system, if present. Unless you want to use HomePods for TV sources other than Apple TV, you should connect the Apple TV to a different high bandwidth HDMI port. eARC will work as a regular HDMI port too, so it’s more about options and optimization.
Does the Apple TV show a black screen shortly, or does the device actually do a full restart (15–20 sec.)?
I do use homepods in stereo mood. And it is a full reboot not the 2 second black screen for adjusting the frame rate. What is strange is it has happened in Disney app, YouTube, and HGTV. Has not happened yet on the appletv plus app. I have a Samsung tv and the new box now supports hdr10 plus. I switched ports and going to see if this stops it from restarting. Thanks for the response.
