How can I set a different wallpaper for my home screen other than having it a blurred out version of the lock screen photo? This was the way it was before and it was easy.

Don't select the blur option when setting the Home Screen wallpaper.
Make sure Blur is grey and white and not blue. If you selected Pair, it activates the blur by default, but you can turn it off.
