How bad is the damage? Does it only affect the truedepth camera? If so, you’re phone should run relatively normally, besides the loss of FaceID, and possibly notifications about it. If you do want to get it fixed, i suggest going to a first party apple store, so that you dont lose FaceID from the repair. Hope this helps!
Only time will tell. If it is working alright otherwise now, it may continue to do so. But water damage can be progressive as corrosion progresses. There is no way for anyone here to predict the future of that.
Use it as long as it works, and deal with any progressive damage when or if it occurs. Either way, your warranty is already voided, so you’d have to pay for an out of warranty replacement anyway, or at a reduced fee if you have AppleCare+.
If you ever wish to resell or trade it for an Apple Gift Card (in the future), a repair will be required and any additional damage from neglect can cause further damage.
