Can I change water lock back to ‘turn the crown’ to unlock

The most recent Apple Watch update changed the Water Lock feature. To unlock, now you push and hold the crown. Prior to the update, you had to turn the crown. I use water lock for working out. When I’m doing push-ups or planks, the back of my hand pushes the crown and it unlocks mid workout. I have to stop, take my glove off and re-lock it. Is there a way to change the unlock method back to turning the crown?

If you have updated your watch to WatchOS 8 or higher, you cannot change this behavior. You might want to consider wearing your watch with the crown facing your elbow as opposed to wearing it facing your fingers when you are working out. You'd have to change the orientation of the watch for those times, but you could do that before you start your workout, which would help your situation.
