Mov files on iPad
How can I convert MOV files to play on iPad?
Some Apps available from the App Store can play many video formats without conversion.
Of those available, perhaps consider the free VLC Media Player App:

mov is a container it could contain many different codecs
if it was me then I would use the free app called handbrake on your computer there you can choose ipad as preset
