add medical id to family member's watch who does not have iphone?

Can not find Health app or medical ID on Family watch. In Emergency SOS have turned on Fall Protection "Always On" but need to setup medical ID so that I get emergency call if partner has a fall, but my iPhone only allows to set up my Medical ID in the Health app.

Under "Manage a family member's Apple Watch" it tells me I can Add ... Medical ID... (with the proper permissions and settings) of the person who uses the managed Apple Watch. However on her Health app it seems I can only "request Health Data" not Medical ID to get the emergency call. When I "request Health Data" nothing happens on her watch - probably because there is no Health Data?

Thanks for your response but you have misunderstood my query - it is not about setting up MY Medical ID, but doing it for a family member who does not have an iPhone. Her watch is therefore set up on my iPhone as a family member and I had not been able ton access her Medical ID to record me as her emergency contact.

I have now installed the iOS update for Watch from 9 to 9.1 In that process it now shows Emergency contact so all is now good - thanks

Your Apple Watch can display your Medical ID so that it’s available to someone attending to you in an emergency.

To learn how to set up your Medical ID on iPhone, see Set up and view your Medical ID in the iPhone User Guide.

To view your Medical ID on your Apple Watch, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the side button until the sliders appear.

2. Slide the Medical ID slider to the right.

3. Tap Done when you’re finished.
