Hi adz61,

If you are trying to look at the passwords on your Mac, if it asks for the password, try the password used to log into this place. Typically, a pop up will come up so you can unlock the keychain that will then show you the password. Check out this resource for more information on keychains Manage passwords using keychains on Mac.

To see saved passwords check out How to find saved passwords and passkeys on your Mac:

  1. "Choose Apple menu  > System Settings. In macOS Monterey, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
  2. Click Passwords.
  3. Sign in with Touch ID, or enter your user account password.
  4. Select a website, then click the Show Details button "i". In macOS Monterey, click Edit.
    • To delete a password, click Delete Password
    • To update a password, change it and then click Save."

If you are looking for passwords in Safari, check out the bottom of that article.

Take care.
