L-tip and T-tip are electrically and magnetically identical, and completely inter-operable. The only real difference is L-tip is slightly less likely to release when you trip on the cord.
The things to be cautious about is original MagSafe vs MagSafe-2 which is a slightly different shape. There is an adapter that allows the older version to service newer Macs.

You can select the 45, 60 or 85 watt power adapter near the top left of that page, depending on which size you need (60 w for 13:, 85 watt for 15 & 17" MacBook Pro 2010 - 2012).
