Is there a way to "pin" an app to the desktop in stage manager?

Before I used stage manager, I would keep Music open in the background for easy access.

With stage manager, it swaps when I change apps, and I was wondering if there is some way to "pin" it to the desktop so that it stays open (i.e. visible) but I can still change app groups in stage manager?

Hello, LMacLean26,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities, it's great to have you here.

We understand where you're coming from and want to make a suggestion or two that we think should help. The first suggestion is trying out the MiniPlayer in Music to see if this may accomplish what you're looking for. With the MiniPlayer, you can have it set to always remain on top of the Desktop that you set it to so that when you switch back to that Desktop, it should still remain in place. This article has more information on how that works: Use Music MiniPlayer on Mac - Apple Support

From that article: "To keep MiniPlayer in the foreground on your desktop, choose Music > Settings, click Advanced, then select “Keep MiniPlayer on top of all other windows.”"

If that doesn't quite do what you were looking for, our next suggestion would be to leave feedback for the macOS development team, which you can do here: Product Feedback - Apple. That will be the best way to let the developer team hear your voice in regard to this issue and how you'd like to see it work in the future.

We hope that this information is helpful.

Have a great day!
