Sleep cycle cuts off at 6pm?

I can somewhat understand why it does this, because normal people start heading to bed anywhere around 8pm and sleep until the morning,

But I work night shift and so my sleep starts in the early afternoon and ends somewhere around 8 at night. The result of this is my sleep cycle is Cut in half, with the first few hours being on one day and the rest of my sleep is applied to the wrong day effectively making data for my sleep messed up, even unusable unless manually comb threw the app and write down my sleep on a sheet of paper.

Is there a way to change the settings so that I can keep the hours I sleep past 6pm on the same day I slept?

Likewise it’s almost impossible to use the automatic updates because I’m at work when it wants to auto update and it doesn’t let me schedule it for the afternoon. It feels like this would be an easy fix that would help nearly 10 million individuals(minimum) in the Us alone, including truckers, doctors, nurses, retail, bartenders, security, and more.

Hello David_Card,

Thanks for your post to Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, it sounds like you have a split sleep schedule and want to set it accordingly within the Health app to track. There isn't a way to split a sleep schedule in the way you described. We do appreciate hearing from our users, particularly in the unique ways they want to use their devices. We'd encourage you to submit this feedback to our official online feedback form:
