How to prevent CD autoplay in iTunes 12.12.6.1 Windows 10?

How to prevent CD autoplay in iTunes 12.12.6.1 Windows 10? Whenever I insert a CD iTunes offers to extract and/or play tracks. I wish it didn't do anything, as I use another app to deal with audio CDs

Windows, Windows 10

Change the When you insert a CD setting.

In iTunes, go to Edit / Preferences / General > When you insert a CD: and change the drop down option from Play CD to Show CD:

If you want iTunes to ignore the CD completely, you will need to change the default music player in Windows, but be aware that this may cause side effects that you don't want. For example, with iTunes as the default player, when you double-click a music file in Windows Explorer, the song will be added to iTunes and begin playing. If you change the default player, this will not happen.
