USB-C 2.5GB Adaptors

Hi

Does anyone have a working 2.5GB adaptor on a Mac mini. I seriously want to buy, but don't have any idea what actually works. I know the RTL8156B chipset works, but not all adaptors work. At the moment I have a Dlink DUB-2315 with the above chipset, macOS sees the device, sees a connection but refuses to do DHCP, also the connection lights don't work, so I think this device is incompatable. Any advice for a working adaptor would be appreciated.
