Good Morning Screen iOS 16

Good Morning Screen is gone since updating to iOS 16. I've tried setting changes and have been trying to figure it out for several days without success. Any feedback/instructions on how to get it back will be appreciated.

Hi jolam489,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you may be referring to the screen that appears with sleep schedules when you are waking up. See how to set up or change your sleep schedule here:

1. Tap Browse at the bottom right, then tap Sleep.
2. Scroll down to Your Schedule, then tap Full Schedule & Options.
3. Do one of the following:
Add a sleep schedule: Tap Add Schedule.
Change a sleep schedule: Tap Edit for the schedule you want to change.
4. Do any of the following:
Set the days for your schedule: Tap a day at the top of the screen to add or remove it from your schedule. The schedule applies only to days shown with solid-color circles.
Adjust your bedtime and wake up schedule: Drag the Bedtime button to change your bedtime, the Wake button to change your wake up time, or the semicircle between the icons to shift both times simultaneously.
Set the alarm options: Turn Alarm on or off.
When Alarm is turned on, you can choose a sound, its volume, a vibration, and the snooze option.
Note: You can’t select a song for a sleep schedule alarm. However, you can select a song for an alarm with the Clock app
5. When you’re finished, tap Add or Done.
When you tap Done, the changes apply to every day in the schedule.

If this isn't the good morning screen you're referring to, let us know more about that screen. We'll go from there.

Thanks.

Hi...Thank you for responding! The good morning screen I'm referring to, that I had in iOS 15, is the one that shows a good morning greeting, with the weather forecast, on the lock screen. I had a sleep schedule set up for every day with an alarm. When I turned the alarm off, the good morning screen would be visible until I dismissed it. I was not using focus or DND. I have played around with removing/re-adding: the sleep schedule, the alarm, focus, etc., nothing seems to work.

Hi Eureka0000....No, it did not show up after updating to 16.1.1. I have tried everything I could think of to restore it without success. I gave up, and eliminated all settings related to sleep, DND, focus. Apple support couldn't provide any answers. I think the Good morning screen option was somehow eliminated with OS updates. Unfortunate, because it was a really useful feature.
