Ventura 13.0.1 update fails

I went to install the Ventura 13.0.1 update today. It installed fine on my M1 based MacBook Pro. It failed to stall in my Intel iMac (27 inch, 2020 iMac). I tried rebooting, made sure nothing else was running, etc. No luck. It asks me the standard licensing question, I say go ahead, it looks like it is downloading perhaps 2 updates. One is the Ventura, one is "Pro video formats". But I eventually get an error that install failed with little other info. Thoughts?

I've had better luck installing from the Safe Mode because I evidently have some 3rd party software that interferes with the installation so try the following:

#1 - boot into Safe Mode according to Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3-5 minutes as it's doing the following;
• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed
• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)
• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically
• Disables user-installed fonts
• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

#2 - go to the System/Software Update preference pane and begin the download.

#3 - run the installer from the Safe Mode.

1 - Restart in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.

2 - Safe Mode will also eliminate Third Party Software, extensions and drives from loading

3 - If using a Bluetooth Keyboard - suggest using a USB Keyboard for the Safe Boot process

4 - The Bluetooth Kernel may not load fast enough to capture the SHIFT keyword depression to achieve Safe Boot

5 While in Safe Boot - try the download of Ventura 13.0.1 again

I am on M1 MBP. Ventura 13.0 and I got a system message to update to 13.0.1

After following the system setting prompts my machine restarts theoretically installing the software but it does not appear to work...no errors etc just a replay of the prompt to install and this process continues resulting in the update failing.

Frustrating...there must be some error buried away from the UX.
