How can I retrieve photos I accidentally deleted?
Open Photos and tap on Albums at the bottom of the screen. Scroll way down the bottom to find the Utilities heading and look for the Recently Deleted Album. Tap on Recently Deleted to open it.
If there are no photos in Recently Deleted, the photos were all deleted more than 30 days ago, so they are gone.

If you deleted photos from the Photos app on your phone recently, look for the Recently Deleted album in Photos to see if the images are there. If it has been more than 30 days since you originally deleted the photos, they are gone.

The answer depends completely on where your photos were housed.
Housed in phone (where I deleted them)
phone was backed up to the cloud last night. Backup would contain deleted photos.
