After latest chrome update cannot view via Apple TV

After installing the latest Google Chrome update I cannot fully stream live TV programs from my MacBook onto my LG-TV via/using Apple TV. i.e. I can hear the sound but get no picture (a blank screen). I tried switching to using Firefox which solved the problem for a while but then Firefox launched an up-date and the same problem happened !

I can still show YouTube videos OK but no live TV programs which are streamed via the Internet. Hope u can help!

Hi Rob, Thanks for yr support. In my current set-up I connect to my smart TV using the Apple TV device. I'm connected to the Apple TV device from my Laptop via an Ethernet cable. I do not use a wireless /WiFi connection as the Wi Fi coverage in my bedroom is not good enough. The ethernet cabling is throughout my apartment. Regarding which browser I use. I've tried using many including Safari but all have the same problem; sound but no picture. Yesterday, I discovered that on my desktop I had an older version of Firefox (from May'22) and so I deleted my present version from my Laptop and copied in the May'22 version over and surprise, surprise, I could once again both see and hear TV programs via Apple TV/Smart TV. It's something to do with the latest versions of the browsers. Something has changed......is it the "Player" software?

Hey there rotcivsleinad,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

To clarify, are you using AirPlay as outlined here?:

Also, you mentioned trying both Chrome and Firefox; does this occur with Safari as well? Do you notice this with all websites or specific websites?
