no remote and lost network connection to our box

we don't have an apple remote and because we have lost network connection to our box we can't use the remote in the utilities app as that only works if the box is connected to the network... What can we do?

you can get a new remote Remotes & Controllers - pub.phrase.tv_and_home.accessories - Apple
