This is specifically from my choice of Outlook Mail app on my iMac, links in it open Safari, tho' I have default browser set to Firefox in Sys Prefs. Other links outside of Outlook mail app will open in Firefox.

If your browser choice is being recognized and approved in all applications on your Mac aside from Microsoft Outlook, the issue is likely stemming from that program. We advise reaching out to Microsoft support as they will be in a better position to guide you on how to correct this behavior with their app.
