The Apple watch is stuck on the logo; the watch app on the phone is stuck in pairing mode. (Can't access any other option in the app.)

Try completely shutting off your iPhone first and then your Apple Watch. Note that you cannot power off or reset the Watch if it is on the charger. When you power the devices back up, do it in the same order by first powering up your iPhone and then your Watch. This will probably fix the issue but if it doesn’t, then try doing a hard reset on both the iPhone and the Watch in the same order… iPhone first, then the Watch.

Thank you for the reply. I tried your suggestion, being careful to shut down and restart in the correct order. Sadly, that did not work. I then did the hard reset on both devices in the correct order. Same problem. Someone else had suggested letting the battery on the watch drain completely and then try rebooting afterward. I tried that without success as well. Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
