My MBA has been dead for 7 months (I was out of country) came back but it won’t switch on or indicate whether it’s charging help?

I’ve been outta country for 7 months. My MBA has been dead since just before I left. I came back recently. Plugged it in on charge 24 hours ago, but it still doesn’t show any signs of life. Is something wrong and how do I know if it’s charging?

Hi,

If your MacBook Air has Intel processor, resetting SMC could solve your issue.

Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

If it doesn't help, following articles could help your problem.

If your Mac battery won’t charge - Apple Support

If your MagSafe cable or power adapter isn't working - Apple Support

If they don't help, you'd better take your MacBook Air and charger to your local retail AppleStore, Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Air there.

Also tried resetting the ram, essentially, I’ve done pretty much all the basics regarding troubleshooting, but what irks me is the fact that I haven’t the slightest clue in the least bit WHAT COULD BE WRONG? Have there been cases similar to this where it’s taken +24 hours for an MBA that’s been dead for a while to turn on/at least show signs of life?
