Somehow 2Fa got activated on my account though I never wanted it. Could someone please tell me how to turn it off again? I've been using my apple devices for years without this problem. Looking in my Apple ID section on my iPad, I don't see the off button. Please help! I use a landline phone and cannot always run home every time I need to log in. Thanks!

Thank you, ikrupp, how can I do that? I was able to to turn it off from the confirmation email they sent me, but if I have the problem going forward, I would like to know how to set all my devices as trusted. Thanks!
Once on, it cannot be turned off. That said, you should not be asked for 2FA frequently.
You can set your iPad as a trusted device and your issue is solved. As stated you can no longer turn off 2FA.
Thank you, that's very helpful! But I have to say, today Apple made me go through the same thing more than once on the same device. Still, I'll hope that was a fluke ;)
