Previously used wallpapers
I see that the new update on the iPhone has it to where we can swipe through a list of previously used wallpapers. Some of these are duplicates. How do you delete the list of previously used wallpapers?

Thanks for the additional details.
Just to confirm, are you trying to delete the wallpapers by going to Settings > Wallpapers or by long pressing on the lock screen?
The reason we ask is, to delete wallpapers, you will need to do that from the lock screen. To access the options, long press on the lock screen and allow it to unlock using FaceID. Once it is unlocked, you will be able to swipe through wallpapers you’ve used in the past and swipe up to delete on any you no longer want to use.
Kindest regards.

Hi CamLight2,
It looks like you posted your question to us from the article Change the wallpaper on your iPhone - Apple Support. The last sentence in the section tells how to delete selected wallpaper.
Change your wallpaper from the Lock Screen
...
From the Lock Screen wallpaper options, you can also tap the Focus button to link a Focus to a specific wallpaper, customize existing wallpapers, or swipe up on a wallpaper and tap to delete it.
If you have tried swiping up and do not see the option to delete when you swipe up, let us know what happens when you try.
Take care!

Thank you for responding to my question. This suggestion didn’t work. There is no option to delete at the bottom and nothing happens when I swipe up. What I’m seeing is there is a carousel of wallpapers I’ve used before with the option to customize them. When I go through them they’re all duplicates. There is no way to delete them. The FOCUS setting it suggests does not have an option to delete it either. Instead they’re just on a page I can scroll down and see all of these images that I had used wallpapers. Some of which I’ve delete images from my phone but somehow the wallpaper setting has them saved somewhere. Where are they saved?
Thank you for your help. I have tried both of those that you mention. The settings>wallpapers and the press and hold on the Lock Screen. When I go through the settings>wallpaper, that is where I see the carousel of used wallpapers. When I try through the Lock Screen, it’ll ask me to unlock with Face ID or passcode (I’ve tried both) but it does not bring that option to delete or customize the wall paper. It just brings up my homepage so I have to go through settings again.
