I want to recover the 6.2GB of iCloud storage Messages is using. If I click on the <Disable & Delete> button, I assume that this will delete the 6.2GB of messages from iCloud and free up that space. How do I download the messages to my device, because it says "You then have 30 days to download your messages"? Will this option be on every one of my devices?

Messages in iCloud is encrypted end-to-end and you wouldn't be able to download or backup the messages contained within it. They can only be synced to a device that has this feature enabled.
