right click menu - take a screenshot

hey there


i need help if its possible


is there a way i can customise my right click menu so i can add a "take a screenshot"option? or a safari extension that takes one click screenshots


i know there is a keyboard shortcut but i prefer to have it in the right click menu.

Sure you can. Create a Service - aka Quick Action.

The keyboard shortcutS (plural!) are much more convenient, in my opinion, but you can certainly it the way you prefer.


Open Automator, create a new Quick Action, and add a single "Take Screenshot" action to it:



Adjust the settings to your liking - you may prefer to save to a file instead of the clipboard, or choose "Interactive" instead of full screen.


Save the Quick Action with a descriptive name.

Depending on your settings, and the number of Services you have, it will either appear directly in the contextual menu, or in a Services submenu of it.

There is no way to have Services appear in the context you are describing, because these contextual menus are controlled by the applications in question, and do not include Services.

On those circumstances, the only way to access Services menu is from the menu bar on the top of your screen, eg. Safari->Services


On the other hand, if you are in Finder with some file selected, and control-click, you get something like this - the options at the bottom are Services that were created just as yours above:
