Unread Mail Notifications Not Showing

Starting 2 days ago, my iPhone is not showing the number of unread emails. Under my mail notification settings, there is no longer an option for "banners". Does anyone know how to fix this? The only thing I did was paired a new Apple Watch with this phone.

Hello pathan723,

Thanks for following up. Have you checked your notification settings in the Apple Watch app only for iPhone? Here is how to do that: Notifications on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

  1. Navigate to the Apple Watch app
  2. Tap Notifications
  3. scroll to Mail and tap on Mail
  4. Select how you want notifications displayed.

There may be a setting that is trying to show them on your Apple Watch as opposed to your iPhone.

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

Hey there pathan723,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

Let's make sure your device is up-to-date. If it is updated, let's restart your device. Restarting your device and making sure it is updated can resolve many unexpected issues.

Take a look here on how to restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

Keep us posted.

Have a great day!
