Dear Support,
I'm tired of "things" happening all by themselves with this OS! My 'go forward' and 'go back' arrows are gone from my safari header ; Only the renew page and add bookmark, autofill, and home buttons are there! AND my scrolling for the entire OS doesn't work. Totally frustrated with these...'things' that seem to just do their own thing!

Hello David:

Welcome to Apple discussions.

These are user-to-user forums. While Apple monitors the forums, they rarely post.

You said that

"I'm tired of "things" happening all by themselves"

Did you make any changes at all? Have you added third party software modifications to Safari?

You might try a couple of things.

Run permission repair from disk utility.

Run repair disk from your install DVD.

Close Safari and trash the preference file (com.apple.safari.plist). Open Safari and reenter your personal preferences.

Go to the view option and click on "customize address bar." You will see the options available. Select what you wish and click done.

I do not understand what you mean by

"my scrolling for the entire OS doesn't work."

If you can explain what you mean (if the above has not helped) someone might be able to give you suggestions.

Barry
