Monitor rotation

Currently I am using a Samsung C49Rg9x(displayport to displayport) and a LG 32GN650-B(HDMI to displayport with a Startech triple monitor dock(DK30CH2DEP) connected by the displayport and I am trying to rotate the LG display to be in portrait mode however the option doesn't show up in the display settings.

I have tried restarting the macbook and I have tried using HDMI to HDMI and Display port to Display port but nothing seems to make the rotate option visible. Any suggestions? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Oh well... it was worth a try. Out of curiosity, does your other display offer a rotation option?

I one have one additional display, and it is HD, not 4K, and it does show rotation.

I was under the impression that only the built-in display would not allow rotation, but for some reason yours is not.

I have no idea if this will work, but it may be worth a try.

In Finder, press Command-Shift-G and paste

/Library/Preferences

Is there a

com.apple.windowserver.displays.plist

file in there?

If there is, drag it out of the folder, and restart. See if that changes anything.
