I really noticed sound quality degradation after last update, they're now more V-shaped and sounds natural no more. It's very bad that Apple changed it without any reason.

Yeah, it now sounds too bright in the upper mids.
I was finding them a bit too bright before, I prefer a slightly warmer sound, but I could live with it as the buds are so good day to day.
But, I am now finding them a bit thin sounding, and they get tiring.
It is also in the vocal range which makes it really obvious, especially female vocals.
I don't understand why we can't set them up ourselves, even a 3 band parametric EQ would be good enough, so we can tailor the sound to our own liking.
That would make them close to perfect.
I will check that video out.
Just skimmed that video, the spike at 2khz is what I can hear, and I don't like it, it was sort of there before, but liveable, this is just too pronounced.
I know speaker/headphone companies do this to make it feel more exciting, but I would rather a dip there than a spike.
