Slider control on touch bar gone?

I upgraded to Ventura recently and noticed the Touch Bar volume and screen brightness slider control has disappeared.

Has Apple gone back to the original style of up/down buttons only?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

Make changes to Touchbar options..and Control Strip options

if in doubt use the "search" window
