Hey ToAnhDuy,

It sounds like you're having an issue moving files on your Mac.

We'd recommend testing in safe mode to see if the same issue occurs there as that would help isolate the issue further. This article explains how: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

"How to use safe mode

Determine whether you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, then follow the appropriate steps:

Apple silicon

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
  3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
  4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.

Intel processor

  1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key as your Mac starts up.
  2. Release the key when you see the login window, then log in to your Mac.
  3. You might be asked to log in again. On either the first or second login window, you should see ”Safe Boot” in the upper-right corner of the window."

For more helpful troubleshooting, we'd recommend providing additional information about the issue you're having.

From where are you trying to move the file and where are you trying to move it to? Are you moving a file from one folder to another, or from a folder to a USB drive? Or something else?

Does this happen with all file types, or just one type of file specifically?

Thanks!

Hi WinsC1,

thank you for your reply. I have this error when I moved files from the memory card to my Mac. It happened with all files, but if I just move a few files ( maybe less than 10 files) it worked.

I tried the safety mode like you said, and it worked as well.

Hi ToAnhDuy,

Did this happen when you tried just a few of the files?

13MB is considered a large file, so the issue could be when you are trying to move too many at a time.

If this happens with one or two files, try going back to safe mode to get the job done. Just remember to restart normally when finished to exit safe mode.

Thank you!
