Garageband Count-In to playhead no longer accurate
Hey guys,
Sorry if I'm missing something obvious here!
Ever since I updated my OS previously; (I'm on Ventura now, I have forgotten the name of the previous OS - but it was when I upgraded to THAT one),
Whenever I try to record on GarageBand I use the count-in feature for 1 bar.
I place my playhead where I wish to start recording and use the count-in. - It always worked perfectly before.
However, even though I still have "1 bar" set for the count-in,
when I start recording, it counts up to the playhead - AND THEN CONTINUES COUNTING FOR ANOTHER BAR PASSED THE PLAYHEAD,
...even though it has began recording from where the playhead was placed.
So basically, it starts recording but performs a second count-in afterwards.
This sounds like a small issue, but is infuriating because it leads me to getting large patches of silence in my recordings which of course mean the recordings aren't in sync.
The point of the count-in is to count up to the playhead right?
What makes it MORE irritating is that occasionally doesn't do it, so in around 1/25 times it'll behave as it should.
Any ideas how to fix this?
maybe I'm just ignorant but I can't seem to see a "count-in settings" option to mess with so I'm not even sure how to fix it by myself.
I've tried turning it off and on again, setting it for 2 bars instead of 1, anything I can think of I've tried.
Does anybody have any ideas or has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks for your time,
Josh
