Overheating, Noisy, and Slow Laptop

Recently, My Macbook Pro has been overheating, becoming very noisy (sounds like it's about to explode), and has been very laggy and slow when visiting websites like Time, and other websites. Usually, a notification pops up that the website is using too much memory. How do I fix it?

Activity Monitor's Energy pane will readily identify energy-intensive processes: Activity Monitor User Guide for Mac - Apple Support.
