After 16.1.1 update my iPhone and iPad will no longer open pdf files. How do I fix the pdf issue

There are assorted variants of PDF. The Files app works to view all the variants I encounter, but that doesn’t guarantee it will work for yours.

View and modify files and folders in Files on iPhone - Apple Support

If Files fails, perhaps this would work.

Read PDF documents in Books on iPhone - Apple Support
