Unable to sync iPhone 14 Pro with Adidas Running app on Apple SE series 2 watch

I recently purchased an iPhone 14 Pro and Apple SE series 2 watch. Both are up to date on IOS.

I have been using Adidas Running to track my horseback riding mileage and time. The Running App is visible on my phone and functions on it but severely drains the battery. The app is also visible on my Apple Watch, but the watch keeps telling me to finish the setup process on the Adidas Running app. I have set location permission to “Allow While Using App”. I have also been continually redirected to the phone settings, without any message advising what they want changed.

Has anyone else experienced this terminal loop? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. If these issues only occur with the Adidas app, let's isolate with the steps in the following resource: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open - Apple Support


  1. Close and reopen the app. Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
  2. Restart your device. Restart your iPhone. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
  3. Check for updates. To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.
  4. Delete the app, then redownload it. Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed.
