How to get Finder to sync photos to iPhone in full resolution?

How do I get Finder to sync photos to my iPhone in full resolution instead of only 3MP resolution as it is currently doing? The images are actually 24MP original resolution from my mirrorless camera imported in single System photos library together with photos from iPhone.

Hi DAV!D,

You might need to select the RAW file after importing.

  1. "In the Photos app  on your Mac, double-click a photo to open it, then click Edit in the toolbar.
  2. Choose Image > Use RAW as Original."

You can find these steps along with other information that may be helpful, here: Use a RAW file as the original in Photos on Mac – Apple Support

If I change the photo to DNG file, it is not synchronised any more and I can't see the photo in iPhone Photos library. If then I reverse to use the photo JPEG as original again, it's synchronised and appear in the iPhone Photos library again, but still 3MP only.

This is one of many examples in my Photos library.

I hope there is some hidden menu or system config to change this strange behavior.

Ciao!
