AirPods draining very asymmetrically

Each earpiece charges up fine, and I have the microphone setting to "automatic" yet the right side drains wildly faster than the left (e.g. starting at 100% over a 45 min walk listening to an audio book the left still at 90% while the right as at 12%, noise canceling was on). These are very new AirPod Pro 2nd generation.

"AirPods draining very asymmetrically: Thanks. I did all that. The left earpiece shows 100%, the right 7%. it went from 12 to 7 while IN THE CASE.

It seems to be that the right earpiece is hosed."

Troubleshooting AirPods Power Draining:

A. Start with a Reset:

Rather than factory resetting these, try just resetting these...

Go Here: Reset your AirPods - Apple Support

B. A Few Links to Visit:

C. Try the Following Tasks:

  • Hold Down the Button on the case for about 15 seconds.

  • Use an Apple Brand Cable - not a third party one - cool though it may look, a fabric, third-part cable would likely tear - (Apple cable's are plastic and are intended for Apple)

  • Remove the AirPod from the Case, then place it back in the charger. Perhaps it need to resync with he charger.
