Siri keeps on reading my notifications

Always when I’m wearing my AirPods siri keeps on reading my notifications from telegram. I’m absolutely sick and tired of this. Because most of the notifications are in Russian and Siri reads them in English. Which means I’m just hearing “sims” like language all the time.

The “announce notifications” setting is turned off. I tried to turn it on and off again to see if something changes. But no luck. Please help me.

Hi Vasand,

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Re: The “announce notifications” setting is turned off

Guess this is on the iPhone:

In Apple support's article:

Announce calls, messages, and more with Siri on iPhone – Apple Support

If you scroll to: "Have Siri announce notifications"

Says: Go to Settings > Siri & Search > Announce Notifications, then turn on (off!) Announce Notifications.

Tap an app you want Siri to announce notifications from, then turn on (off!) Announce Notifications.

For some apps, you can also choose whether to announce all notifications or only time-sensitive notifications.

So may be there is a particular app (telegram) that still needs announce notifications turned off ...

or

Perhaps there's something in yourAirPods settings:

All the best :-)
