How can I export handwritten apple notes from iPad to Mac in transparent png format?

Hello,

Issue

I recently updated my iPad to iPadOS 16 and now I am not able to export my handwritten notes from my Mac notes app to my desktop as a transparent png. It seems as if the whole drag and drop feature has been removed from the Mac notes app as a whole.

How it used to work

I used to draw notes on my iPad, it would sync through iCloud to the notes app on my Mac. From there I could drag and drop my drawing from the notes app to my desktop. It would automatically transform the drawing into a transparent .png file.

(Semi) workaround

The only option now is to go to Archive > Export as pdf. But then it adds a white background to the note. Furthermore, lots of programs do not support pdf as an image input, so I have to convert the .pdf into a .jpg or other more broadly accepted image format.

Example of the exported image

Ironically I cannot upload pdf's here, so I have made a screenshot:

Current OS

MacOS Ventura 13.0.1 (MacBook Pro 16-inch 2021, M1 Pro)

iPadOS 16.1.1 (iPad Pro 11" 2nd gen)

iPad Pro
