Why does recipient name appear in red and message fails to send? only on Mac and only one recipient. Does not happen on I phone and the two are Synced

imessage or text message, if that latter a mac can't send a text without this being set up Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad - Apple Support
