Not receiving Screen Time requests after update

Thanks to spuppyjduen response, I went into my iphone under settings--messages--send and receive. Now, my phone number and @icloud email were checked but not my @me account or my apple account email. I checked mark both of them and then I started receiving my kids notifications for screen time approval. I think what did it for me was the @me account being checked. Now some of you may not have the @me account (depends what year you created the icloud account). To be safe, just check mark all the accounts and that should fix the issue. Hope this helps.

I fixed this by changing my apple id email the the one that ends in @icloud. I was using the gmail one before. I found out the requests were being delivered to my sons ipad. The unknown contacts are blocked so he couldn’t even open it so never noticed. Now that I have the @icloud email as my apple id and I re signed into my iphone, ipad, and macbook, I have the notifications working again. HOWEVER screen time is erasing the app limits at random times. It’s not mu kids. They even come up to me and say “look mom, it’s unblocked” only the downtime seems to work consistently

Adding additional email addresses in the settings --> messages --> send & receive --> check the @icloud.com/ @mac.com/ @me.com under "you can receive messages..." fixed the problem

Have you restarted all devices? This can sometimes resolve minor issues.

If that doesn't help, try deleting all screen time parameters for your kids and then setting them up again. This might trigger the requests to start working again. If you need a refresher on the set up, please see: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

I also have the same problem after the update. I tried restarting, deleting, and resetting screen time parameters none of these have worked still only receiving requests on my Macbook.

I have a group of family

I sometimes receive the time request through iMessage, however my wife doesn't get any notification, although she is part of the iMessage group and she is available on iMessage.

The same issue. I don’t receive notifications about screentime requests from my daughter. Only can see it in Screentime settings. Why Apple is ignoring such bugs?? It makes this feature useless. Apple has changed 👎

Same here. New MacBook Air and iPhone 14pro :( Screen time requests show up on the MacBook, but not my phone.

Since the 16.2 update I’ve stopped getting screen time requests from my daughter.

Some come through on iMessage.

But majority just vanish.

Same! I get them on my Mac and iPad, but nothing on my iPhone. Help!

I've exactly the same issue. And I'm not able to solve. Is there any workaround?

Apple needs to fix the screen time request issue. Having to change to an iCloud email is BS.

I didn’t add an email address. The email were already there in my settings. All I did is check mark them so I can use them as a way to receive and send messages.

Mine is not working either. I have to go in to the screen time settings to approve. I do receive them on imessage on ipad. They were working a few days ago on my phone and just stopped. I have reset everything and nothing.
