ios 16 clock font

Is there any way to change the font on the clock for a regular wallpaper? I looked up how to create a new wallpaper and change the font on that, but I have a custom auto-changer that randomly changes the picture, and the font changes back every time it runs. It took a long time to get the program working just right, so I don't want to just disable it.

Hi Ransom_of_thulcandra,

It seems you're having some trouble editing your wallpaper and we want to help.

Follow the steps here to customize your existing wallpaper that you have your pictures set up on:

Customize a Lock Screen wallpaper with filters, widgets, and styles
1. In the Settings app, tap Wallpaper.
2. Under the preview of your Lock Screen, tap Customize.
3. Tap Customize Current Wallpaper
4. Before you tap Done on the wallpaper, make your customizations.

Change the wallpaper on your iPhone

By customizing the current wallpaper, that should let you keep the Photo content you already configured while changing the font for the Lock Screen the way you would like.

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks.

I tried adding a new wallpaper that shuffles photos. It changed the photo every time I locked the phone, which is a nice feature. It did not allow automatic changing of the home wallpaper, however. I left the old auto-changer on to see what would happen, and the font changed back when it ran.

The sensible thing surely would be for apple to allow you to edit the font on the default wallpaper.

Rather than requiring you to unlock the phone, swipe down for the wallpaper, hold to open the editor, then create a whole new wallpaper and homescreen set with all new photos. Just to get rid of the new fat clock.

Doesn't help me either as I don't have copies of the old photos, so creating new means I lose what I had (and was happy with). Adding new photos seems to create a zoomed in blurry version compared to how it was before too.

I do love it when, for seemingly no reason, apple reaches in and breaks your phone. It shouldn't be so annoying, especially given how often they do it, but it really is! So much of this latest update is a step back.
