weather app shows red sun on icon after IOS update 16.1.1 Ione ProMax12

Yes this works. To get the sun back to yellow go to:

settings,

accessibility,

display and text size,

and toggle off the increased contrast.

I was also annoyed by this.

I've seen a post on another forum that reported that it happens when Increase Contrast is turned on in Accessibility and turning that off resolves it.

(back to original yellow☀️) ... BUT it also faded & lightened text apps making it difficult to READ messages So, I've been "putting up" with a red sun in the weather app. Apple, please fix this?

That did fix it. My question would be, why change the increase contrast on an iOS update and not tell anyone? Oh well. Thx for the suggestion. I no longer have a red sun. :-)

I did not find Increase contrast under Accessibility. What am I doing wrong? I have iPhone 11
