iPhone 4 lineout low volume level

Hi!
i switched from iPhone 3G to iPhone 4,
i use it in my car using lineout cable.
i checked: volume level from iPhone 4 is much lower, than iPhone 3G.
i use max level on iPhone 4, max level in my car system, but still don't have loud sound.
i don't have any limitation in settings, i checked that together with my old phone.
Any suggestions?

Do you have an iPod or other device with which you can test to make sure it's not the cable or the car that is the problem?

yes, i also checked it with ipod touch and ipod 1g, they sound fine,
with headphones the same situation

Are you connecting with a cable that goes from the dock connector to USB or to mini jack?

mini-jack,
i checked with headphones right now,
i have two iphones 4, iphone 3g, ipod touch and ipod nano 1g,
iphones 4 (both) sound more quiet.
so it's iphone 4 problems

I must agree with you. I had the 3G and the volume was louder in the same car. I am using a cable to connect. Headphone jack into the aux. jack in my car. Iphone 4 is much lower I don't know why.

I have the same issue with my iPhone 4. iPhone 3g and iPod nano both work fine. iPhone 4 you can barely hear.

I guess no one has a solution yet?

i have the same problem. I didn't notice until i tried the LOGITECH PURE-FI EXPRESS PLUS BL 2 with my iphone 4 and a friend's ipodTouch. the iPodTouch was 3 times louder.

I have the same problem, I connect my iphone to the aux of my car and I have to turn up the volume of both devices to max to be able to hear anything. This creates so much static that it becomes impossible to listen to.

I'm also using the headphones jack connection to connect to my car aux.

For me there is a significantly louder output if i disable the IpHone's built in EQ.

I just got an iphone 4 today and noticed the same thing when listening to Pandora. At first I thought maybe the line out jack was fault. I tried using a different cord, listening to something other than Pandora, and it didn't resolve the problem. I then put the phone in my dock, and sure enough the volume levels were as you would expect it to be.

Has anyone found a resolution or confirmation from Apple about this?

I have the same problem with mine I thought it was my head phone got new headphone still low so tried the head phone on brothers one its work fine. Did any one fixed the problem? Can it be fixed?

Turn off Sound Check in Settimgs > ipod settings. I thought it was an improvement but still not as good as going through the dock.
